November 21, 2008 Yesterday my big brother Jack went to doggie heaven. Lately he was having trouble walking because of a calcified disk in his back and arthritis in his leg. He just wasn’t able to carry himself around very well. Mama said it was peaceful and he doesn’t hurt anymore and now can run again. Even though he was a lot older than Stella and me, (he was almost 11) he always played with us. He loved bananas and taught us that if we heard chopping in the kitchen and we ran in there we would get some carrots, his second favorite food. He talked a lot and liked being upside down, just like me! Stella really loved him and always gave him loads of kisses. Our older sister Maggie was very close with him and they spent much time together. We will all miss Jack a lot!

November 5, 2008 Over the weekend mama entered us in a costume contest. We had to dress up like some characters in mama’s favorite artist, Kathie Olivas’, paintings. Her series of work is called Misery Children. She paints mutated kids with bolted mouths and beartrap smiles in a post apocalyptic landscape… wow, serious stuff for me! We did have fun dressing up though. Mama ambushed us at 1am to take our picture. We were very sleepy, but she said that added to our misery!
Oh and we did win!

October 14, 2008 I was feeling miserable this past weekend so yesterday I went to the vet. He said I had a sinus infection… yuck, whatever that is! All I know is mama said she was tired of me sneezing big wads of snot all over the sofa. I dunno, it kinda tastes good. 
Being sick makes me crabby…
and sleepy.

October 7, 2008 Sunday the Pig and I went to the dog park for a meetup. We had a great time, but of course Mama didn’t bring her camera! So here are some very blurry pics of me and Stella getting sprayed with the hose; one of our favorite things to do! Mama says we are maniacs!!
August 20, 2008 Today our buddy Annie came over and played with us! It was a nice day to be outside; cool and breezy. We all wrestled and ran around the yard chasing each other. It was a great time!
July 10, 2008 I live in Fresno, California and we’ve had 110°+ heat the last couple of days. My afternoons have consisted of me and Stella running up and down the hallway in the house chasing each other, trying to stay cool. It’s even too hot to play outside in the hose! I hope this heatwave ends soon so we can enjoy our summer.

July 8, 2008 Saturday Mama, Stella and I went to a post Fourth of July BBQ at our friends’ house. We played with our doggy friends; Gaffer and Sophie. We swam, chased each other, and wrestled. Mama said we barked too much but we all had a great time!
